Marketing Works Better When the Pieces Work Together.
Design and Data Rockstars is a tracking-first digital agency helping businesses connect strategy, measurement and execution — so websites, advertising, SEO, content, email and analytics work toward clearer business goals.
Why DDR Became Tracking-First
It didn't start with the idea that tracking should replace marketing. It came from working across digital marketing and noticing how interconnected everything had become.
As marketing became more sophisticated, one thing became increasingly important: the quality of the information being used to make the next decision.
That led DDR to a tracking-first approach.
Tracking-first doesn't mean tracking-only. It means measurement is considered from the beginning instead of being added after the marketing has already launched.
That's the central idea behind everything DDR does.
Why Design and Data?
Digital marketing sits at the intersection of creativity and evidence. DDR brings those two sides together.
Together: better digital marketing. Not just more creative, and not just more data — but marketing that gets smarter because the two sides inform each other.

I came into analytics through marketing. Working across digital strategy and client campaigns meant I wasn't interested in data simply for the sake of having more reports. I wanted to understand what the numbers could actually tell us about the marketing.
Over time, that led me deeper into analytics, conversion tracking and the technical systems underneath digital campaigns — GA4, GTM, Meta CAPI, server-side tracking, the whole measurement stack.
The more I worked across both sides, the more important the connection became.
That's the thinking behind DDR.
Marketing Thinking + Technical Measurement
DDR sits where those two disciplines meet. Not analytics-only. Not marketing-only. Both — connected by the belief that better measurement makes better marketing.
We Believe Understanding Matters.
Technical work shouldn't become a black box simply because it's complicated.
Alongside client work, Sarah's experience includes analytics education and training for marketing practitioners — reinforcing an important DDR principle: clients should be able to understand what was done, why it matters and how the information should be used.
DDR's training program covers GA4, GTM and digital analytics for marketing teams and practitioners who want to work more confidently with measurement data.

Six principles that shape how we think, advise and deliver — in every engagement, regardless of size.
We Observe Before We Assume
A different number doesn't automatically mean something is wrong. We investigate before we conclude.
We Understand Before We Rebuild
Existing systems deserve context before changes are recommended. We don't rebuild simply because a tool reports a warning.
We Explain the Why
Clients should understand the reason behind meaningful recommendations — not just receive a technical output they have to trust blindly.
We Build for the Business
Technology and channels should support the customer journey and commercial objective — not the other way around.
We Validate Our Work
Where something is implemented, it should be tested and documented — not simply marked complete and handed over.
We Keep Learning
Platforms, privacy requirements, technology and customer behaviour change. Our approach evolves with them.
DDR Is a Digital Marketing Agency — Tracking Is the Foundation, Not the Ceiling.
DDR can support a specific technical requirement or become a broader digital marketing partner — depending on what the business needs.
Paid Media
Reach customers through appropriate advertising platforms.
SEO
Build sustainable organic visibility over time.
Websites & Funnels
Build digital experiences around how customers convert.
Social & Content
Create communication that builds visibility and trust.
Email & Automation
Continue and automate customer relationships.
You don't need to use every DDR service. We determine what makes sense around the business — sometimes that means one focused service, sometimes a connected marketing system.
Explore Digital Marketing →Understand. Measure. Build. Market. Learn. Improve.
The thinking that connects every DDR engagement — whether it's a single tracking project or a full digital marketing partnership.

It's not a rigid package. It's the thinking that connects our work — and it repeats as the business evolves.
What We Don't Believe
These are the assumptions DDR doesn't start from — even when they're common in the industry.
The goal isn't to collect everything. It's to collect information that has a purpose — and can support a real decision.
Different platforms measure differently. The goal is understanding what the differences mean — not forcing artificial agreement between systems built on different logic.
Marketing mix should follow strategy, customer behaviour and resources — not a generic checklist of services.
Technology supports marketing. It doesn't replace strategy or judgment.
We can define objectives, execute carefully and measure evidence. We won't manufacture certainty where it doesn't exist.
Why “Rockstars”?
Not because marketing needs more ego. Because great digital work usually happens when different disciplines play well together — and that's harder than it sounds.
The best digital work happens when strategy, creativity, technology and data work in the same direction — not as separate functions that occasionally report to each other.

Good Partnerships Need More Than Good Marketing.
We want clients to understand what we're working on, why it matters, what the evidence tells us and what we recommend next.
That also means being comfortable saying things that a lot of agencies avoid:
Clear recommendations are more valuable when they're based on what we can actually establish.
Where DDR Is Going
DDR is building toward a model where measurement, marketing strategy and specialist execution work together rather than operating as disconnected services.
As platforms and customer journeys become more complex, businesses will need partners who can understand both the marketing activity and the signals underneath it — and connect them into something coherent.
DDR today is a tracking-first digital agency. Where that leads is a business that can be a genuine whole-marketing partner for the clients it works with — from the strategy conversation through to what the data shows six months later.
That's the kind of agency we're building. We're not pretending it's already finished — but every project, every client and every lesson moves it further in that direction.
